RTS Collective Artist Bios

Josh Bales Josh Bales is a singer/songwriter, mental health therapist, and pastor in Orlando, FL. He has his Master of Arts in Counseling from RTS, and he will receive his Master of Divinity in 2015. With four diverse albums and more than ten years of touring under his belt, Josh has gained a following of fans from all walks of life. In 2012 Josh recorded "Count The Stars," with multi-award winning producer, Ed Cash. In 2014 Josh released a Christmas album, "The Holly & The Ivy." And in 2015, in addition to "Somehow I Knew," Josh will be issuing a collection of hymns and sacred songs, "The Birds Their Carols Raise.”


Rachel Cohen Rachel Cohen is graduating from RTS-Orlando in 2015 with her Master of Arts in Theological Studies, and she begins the Master of Arts in Counseling program in fall 2015. She was born and raised in northern New Jersey, but she moved to Chattanooga, TN in high school. She moved to Orlando from there where she attended Covenant College. She's not married, and she doesn't have kids, but she hangs out with other people's children as the female Student Ministries Intern at Orangewood Church (PCA). She taught herself how to play the guitar in seventh grade, and she's been playing and writing music ever since. Rachel is extremely honored to be a part of this project, and she is grateful for the opportunity to bless others through song.


Tim Inman Tim Inman is originally from North Carolina, where he has worked as a studio musician and been a part of many recordings and projects, most notably his primary band, The Separate. He and his wife Angela (a social worker who is also a singer and artist) have both been church musicians since childhood. They moved to Orlando in 2013 for Tim to attend RTS-Orlando’s Master of Divinity program with the goal of pursuing church planting. He will graduate in 2016.



Ben Jones Ben Jones is a counseling student at RTS-Orlando, class of 2015. He hails from Johnson City, TN where he was surrounded by bluegrass, folk, and old time music. He has been writing his own songs and performing them most of his life and has released three albums independently. Ben is also a worship leader at University Presbyterian Church Lake Nona where he gets to make music with his favorite instrument: the voices of God's people! Ben is married to Amy, who is a wonderful pianist as well as a wonderful mother to their three children: Mae, Bailey, and Thomas.


Mark Nicks Mark Nicks is in the Master of Arts in Counseling program as well as the Master of Divinity program at RTS-Orlando, class of 2015. He and his wife Brandy (MAC grad, 2014) moved to Orlando from Nashville, TN in 2011 to attend RTS. Mark was the singer, drummer, and pianist for the band Cool Hand Luke for over 13 years. He has released 10 studio albums and played in 48 states. He is currently the producer/arranger at Parafonic Recording Studios in Orlando, FL. He continues to write and record new music.
